Steps to send damaged hard disks and media to SDR for data recovery service

Here are the simple but essential to require our data recovery services:  


1.      Contact SDR through the toll free number 800 974 267 (*only calling from Italy), or email   at info@sdrtechnologies.com , indicating also your personal data through which you will be contacted, or fill the form in the contact page of this site.

2.      SDR , will send to you the form in PDF format for Diagnosis Support (MDS) to fill on-screen, print and sign. A copy of the print paper will be sent by fax at the 0933.1960397, or once scanned, by e-mail to info@sdrtechnologies.com ; another copy with original signature, must be placed inside the box along with the damaged memory support to be diagnosed. WARNING: MDS filling to be done in all its parts is essential for rapid and accurate diagnosis, and to increase the chances of recovering your data. 

3.      Disassembled support from the computer or from usb external box.

4.      Packaging the media for shipping:

4.1.   Put the storage media in an anti-static bag and wrap it in a few sheets of plastic bubbles. If you send several media, each one must be packaged as upon said;

4.2.   Put the media in a rigid box containing shockproof material (polystyrene foam or similar);

4.3.  Put inside of the package the request form (MDS) upon described ( with the original signature);

4.4.   Seal the package and stick the label with the address of the SDR and the reference to the working number assigned to you.

5.      SDR instruct the courier to make the free take-back (only for hard disks) ) at the location you indicate in the MDS, communicating to you the withdrawal date.

6.      At the arrival of the courier just give him the package without paying anything and require to him the return receipt of shipment.

7.      From the package receipt, based on the urgency level of your request, indicated on MDS, diagnosis will be performed.

8.      Once the diagnosis is completed you will receive the results and the quotation for the recovery.

9.      No payment will be required in cases data recovery is technically not possible.

10.  Based on the diagnostic evaluation will be prepared and submitted a quotation that will be printed, stamped (if company) and signed by the customer for acceptance. The document will be delivered or sent by fax at the following number(+39)0933.1960397  or scanned and emailed at info@sdrtechnologies.com .

11.  Upon receipt of the order confirmation SDR will proceed to commissioned data recovery.

12.  All Recovered data ‘ll be saved on the support chosen by the customer

13.  The customer will pay according to the method chosen in MDS

14.  At this point, the medium containing the recovered data and, where required, the damaged support will be returned to the customer (delivery expenses charges on him).

15.  The damaged support will be destroyed permanently
